Wallpaper is one of the fastest ways to give a room personality — texture, pattern, color and depth that paint alone can't deliver. But the finish is only as good as the installation. Exclusive Wall Decor is a wallpaper installation company based in Upper Marlboro, MD, hanging wallpaper for homeowners throughout Prince George's County, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.
Wallpaper that looks right from every angle
Whether it's one accent wall or an entire room, a professional result depends on details: a sound, primed surface; a plumb first panel; correctly booked and relaxed paper; pattern matches carried across seams and corners; and clean cuts at ceilings, baseboards, outlets and window trim. We review your wall and the paper you've chosen before we confirm the approach.
Rooms and spaces we wallpaper
- Accent and feature walls — behind a bed, sofa, TV or dining table.
- Bedrooms, nurseries and living rooms — full-room installations with continuous pattern flow.
- Dining rooms and entryways — a striking first impression for guests.
- Powder rooms and bathrooms — we'll discuss moisture and material suitability first.
- Two-story foyers and stairwells — tall walls that call for the right ladders, planks and planning.
- Home offices, ceilings and built-ins — including bookcase backs and accent ceilings.
Wallpaper types we install
We install customer-selected wallcoverings including traditional unpasted papers, pre-pasted papers, paste-the-wall (non-woven) wallpapers, vinyl wallcoverings, grasscloth and natural-fiber papers, textured and specialty papers, and wall murals. Each type has its own adhesive and handling requirements, so send us the manufacturer's product page or installation instructions with your request.
How much wallpaper should I order?
It depends on the wall size, the roll dimensions and the pattern repeat — large repeats waste more paper. Many installers recommend ordering roughly 10–15% extra for pattern matching and trimming, and buying every roll from the same batch (dye lot). Before you order, send us the product link and wall measurements and we'll help you sanity-check the quantity.
What to include with your estimate request
Photos of the wall or room, approximate width and height, your ZIP code, and whether the wallpaper has been purchased. If available, include the product link, roll dimensions and pattern repeat. Don't worry about perfect measurements — they're just a starting point.
